Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026 · Applies to genesysclaims.co.uk and all Genesys Claims campaigns (car finance / PCP and housing disrepair / HDR).
1. Who we are
Genesys Claims is a trading style of Genesys Consortium (Pty) Ltd (Registration No. 2026/338764/07), a company registered in South Africa ("we", "us"). We act as an introducer: we help UK consumers check whether they may have a claim, and — with their consent — introduce them to regulated partner law firms in the United Kingdom who assess and conduct the claim.
For the personal data collected through this website and our campaigns, Genesys Consortium (Pty) Ltd is the data controller. We process UK personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
ICO Registration No.: [ICO NUMBER — pending].
Contact: pcp@genesysclaims.co.uk (car finance enquiries) or hdr@genesysclaims.co.uk (housing disrepair enquiries).
2. What we collect
- Details you give us — your name, phone number, email address, and the information you provide about your potential claim (for example, whether you held car finance between 2007 and 2021 and with which lender; or your landlord's name and the disrepair issues in your home).
- Call information — if you speak to one of our consultants, we may record calls for quality, training and compliance purposes.
- Technical data — basic website usage information such as IP address and browser type, used to keep the site secure and working properly.
We do not ask for, and you should not submit, financial account details, passwords or identity documents through this website.
3. Why we use your data and our lawful basis
- To contact you about your claim check (phone, SMS, email) — based on your consent, given when you submit our form.
- To introduce you to a regulated partner law firm so your claim can be assessed and pursued — based on your consent and, once your claim proceeds, steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract with that firm.
- To keep records of consents, introductions and quality checks — based on our legitimate interests in running a compliant introducer business and meeting our contractual obligations to partner firms.
- To send you marketing about other claim types we support — only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
4. Who we share your data with
- Regulated UK partner law firms — when you consent, we pass your details to the partner firm handling the relevant claim type, so they can assess and conduct your claim. They will identify themselves to you and become an independent controller of your data, with their own privacy policy.
- Service providers — trusted suppliers who support our operations (telephony, email delivery, secure hosting and data processing), under contracts that restrict how they may use your data.
- Authorities — where we are required to by law, or to protect our legal rights.
We never sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Because our operations team is based in South Africa, personal data you submit is transferred to and processed in South Africa. We apply appropriate safeguards to protect UK personal data transferred outside the UK, including contractual protections and technical and organisational security measures, in line with UK GDPR requirements. Data shared with our partner law firms is processed by them in the United Kingdom.
6. How long we keep your data
We keep your details for as long as needed to manage your enquiry and introduction, and afterwards for as long as necessary to evidence consent and meet our legal and contractual record-keeping obligations, after which they are securely deleted. If you ask us not to contact you, we keep the minimum information needed to honour that request.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data or delete your data;
- Withdraw consent at any time (this won't affect processing already carried out);
- Object to or ask us to restrict certain processing;
- Data portability, where applicable.
To exercise any of these rights, email pcp@genesysclaims.co.uk or hdr@genesysclaims.co.uk with "Data request" in the subject line. We respond within one month.
You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you are unhappy with how we handle your data.
8. Marketing and opting out
We only send marketing where you have opted in, and every message includes a way to opt out. You can also opt out at any time by emailing us, or by telling any of our consultants during a call. Opt-outs are actioned promptly and recorded so you are not contacted again.
9. Security
We protect your data with access controls, encrypted transmission, and staff confidentiality obligations. Access to campaign data is limited to trained personnel who need it to do their jobs.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page with the date above.
